What’s Good In JIEO’s Mica Band Heater?

JIEO is a China-based manufacturer and supplier of types of band heaters, cartridge heaters, tubular heaters, and accessories for machines to protect the temperature sheath. Providing custom heating solutions for global industrial markets.

Our mica band heaters are designed with nickel-chromium (Cr20Ni80) resistance wire.
JIEO’s mica band heaters deliver stable output power and precise temperature control by minimizing resistance fluctuation during long-term operation.

Natural mica insulation provides high dielectric strength and electrical safety, enabling operating temperatures up to 250°C and over 5000 hours of continuous service without performance degradation.A dual-layer stainless steel housing improves heat transfer efficiency while the mica band heater offers corrosion resistance and structural stability, even under repeated thermal expansion and contraction.

This design mica band heater supports stable heating performance, consistent product quality, and longer service intervals, even in demanding industrial environments.

Customize your Mica Band Heater

To support customized heating requirements without compromising performance, JIEO’s mica band heater uses mechanical wire-winding technology to control power density across the heating surface precisely.  Ensures uniform heat distribution even in non-standard sizes and special designs, while reducing the risk of localized overheating and maintaining consistent thermal efficiency.

The flexible construction allows the mica band heater to be customized in diameter, width, shape, cutouts, mounting holes, plug and terminal configurations, enabling close, stable contact with molds, barrels, and nozzles. This level of design adaptability ensures efficient heat transfer and reliable operation across different equipment layouts and operating conditions.

Additional Options

Cold Section: Any holes or cutouts

  • The mica band heater’s watt density should depend on the operating temperature.
  • The mica band heater’s wattage should be in accordance with the equipment’s voltage and current ratings.
  • During installation, ensure the mica band heater is enough to match the object’s actual size and is in close contact with the object (gap < 0.5mm). Avoid overstretching it.
  • The surface should be smooth and clean of any contamination from water, oil, and other organics.
  • Avoid overheating and don’t operate the mica band heater without a load (air heating), as this may cause premature wire breakage.
  • Avoid frequent removal and reinstallation.

Certifications & Quality Assurance of Indurial Heater

Your Mica Band Heater Can Also Deliver Ceramic-Level Performance

The shroud is an energy-saving and safety protection device specifically developed for the melting systems of injection molding machines. This shroud is an innovative thermal insulation protection device independently developed and patented by JIEO. It is widely applicable to injection molding processes that demand high standards for energy efficiency, safety, and temperature-control precision.

Through its multi-layer thermal insulation structure design, it effectively minimizes heat loss to the environment, significantly enhancing the heating system’s energy efficiency and reducing overall machine energy consumption by over 30%. Simultaneously, the outer shell surface temperature is maintained below 40°C, substantially improving the high-temperature working environment in injection molding workshops and lowering the risk of burns for operators.

The shroud supports fan installation to promote airflow, accelerate heat dissipation, and prevent localized overheating, such as carbonization or charring of the heating media. This helps extend the mica band heater’s service life and performance while drastically reducing downtime and maintenance of injection molding machines.

FAQs

Still have questions?

How long does it take the mica band heat up?

Very quickly. They typically reach operating temperatures within 5 to 10 minutes due to their low thermal mass.

Install tightly on a clean barrel surface, connect to the correct voltage, and use with a temperature controller for best performance.

They are powered by AC voltage (usually110V–480V). Always match the heater’s rated voltage to your power supply.

Don’t install the mica band heater in areas with foreign materials to avoid overheating, excessive cycling, and physical damage.

Two types of band heaters use element heating. The mica band heaters have a maximum process temperature of 482°F (250°C), while the ceramica band heaters can withstand up to 662°F (350°C). They use different insulations in the band heater, and each type has its own strengths.
