High-Density Cartridge Heater Suppliers for Metal Molding Heating

JIEO has more than 17 years of experience manufacturing industrial heating elements in China, serving a wide range of global industrial applications. Our high-density cartridge heaters are engineered to deliver rapid heat-up and high watt density in compact spaces, ensuring reliable performance in demanding environments. With optimized internal construction and strict quality control, they provide efficient heat transfer when properly installed in metal applications, supporting stable, consistent operation.

High-Density Cartridge Heater

High-density cartridge heaters are designed for high thermal efficiency and elevated operating temperatures in real-world industrial applications. They feature high compaction and reduced spacing between the resistance wire and the sheath, enabling efficient heat transfer and a faster thermal response.

When your applications require rapid heating and high power output, high-density cartridge heaters provide a reliable, high-performance solution. Their compact design enables high power density in limited space, making them particularly suitable for metal molds and precision-heating applications.

These heaters are often paired with thermocouples to achieve precise temperature monitoring and control. They are widely used in molds, sealing machines, packaging machinery, and liquid and solid heating processes.

What Makes JIEO High-Density Cartridge Heaters
Stand Out

JIEO focuses on stable watt-density control and precision manufacturing to ensure consistent performance and a longer service life. The heaters are made from seamless stainless-steel tubes with a heat-resistant sheath.

Inside, grade “A” nickel-chrome (Ni80Cr20) resistance wire is wound evenly around a ceramic rod. Gaps are then filled with high-purity magnesium oxide powder, which provides excellent thermal conductivity and insulation.

During the machining process, the material is compressed, expelling air from the seamless stainless-steel tube and compacting the magnesium oxide crystals into a dense solid mass, thereby enhancing thermal conductivity and dielectric strength.

How Heat Transfer Works

The design ensures that the high-density cartridge heater delivers high thermal efficiency and uniform heat distribution. When current flows through the high-temperature resistance wire, the heat generated diffuses through the crystalline magnesium oxide powder to the sheath. It is then transferred to the object being heated or the surrounding air, thereby achieving the heating objective.

Quality Standard & Application Support

JIEO high-density cartridge heaters are manufactured to strict quality standards, ensuring reliable operation even under high-load conditions. In addition to manufacturing, we provide application-based support to help customers select the right specifications and avoid common failure issues.

Custom High-Density Cartridge Heaters for Industrial Application

All high-density cartridge heaters can be customised to your real-world application requirements, including diameter, length, voltage, wattage, and lead configuration.

In industrial applications, performance depends heavily on fit tolerances, heat-transfer conditions, and operating load. Therefore, in a molding application, the gap between the high-density cartridge heater and the mold’s mounting holes should not be too large. The recommended clearance on each side is 0.05mm or less.

When your high-density cartridge heaters are used in liquids, you need to first select the heating tube based on the liquid medium. In particular, for corrosive solutions, the sheath must be selected based on the solution's corrosion characteristics. Second, the cartridge heater’s watt density depends on the heating medium.

We also support thermocouple integration, specialised coatings, and tight-tolerance machining to ensure optimal performance in specific working environments.

Types Of High-Density Cartridge Heaters

Single-Ended Straight Termination of High-Density Cartridge Heater

Single-ended high-density cartridge heaters are the most commonly used type in real-world applications. The minimum diameter can be 0.23”(6mm), as required.
