With over 17 years of experience in the industry as a heating element manufacturer.JIEO’s Mica strip heater application in widely industrial.Such as sealing machines, ovens, and testing equipment, or other inert gases. It is used for any situation where you need flat-surface heating or mold heating. Mica strip heating elements are economical heat sources.
Mica strip heaters are industrial heaters that offer high thermal efficiency and uniform heat distribution. The metal alloy used has excellent thermal conductivity, ensuring consistent surface temperatures and eliminating hot and cold spots in the equipment. As a supplier of mica strip heaters that deliver consistent quality and long service life to injection molding machine manufacturers, metal molding makers, laboratories, and other industries, JIEO provides products tailored to meet the operational requirements of various sectors. Our mica strip heaters feature a core of high-insulation, high-temperature-resistant mica board, uniformly wound with nickel-chromium alloy heating wires in various standard specifications. Using precise power-density calculations, the wires are mechanically wound to form the heating element. The sheath is made of 304/316 stainless steel, offering excellent thermal insulation, high mechanical strength, corrosion resistance, and magnetic field resistance. This makes it a cost-effective choice for electric heating elements in industrial applications.
To ensure optimal heat transfer and prevent performance issues, mica strip heaters must be tightly clamped to a smooth metal surface, with metal clamps placed every 3” to 5” apart along their length. At JIEO heating, we not only provide standard heating plates but also offer flexible customization options. Whether your application requires compact dimensions, fast heat-up, or specific mounting configurations such as holes and cutouts, our heaters can be tailored to ensure optimal fit and performance.
JIEO’s mica strip heaters are machined to the desired shape, can reach temperatures of up to 250°C, and offer a variety of wiring options. We can design and manufacture electric heating elements tailored to specific operating conditions.
The strip heater structure of JIEO consists of a 0.4mm thick 304/316 stainless steel shell, with a core of high-insulation,high-temperature-resistant natural mica, and a heating element formed by uniformly winding nickel-chromium alloy resistance wire of various standard specifications at a density determined through mechanical and computational calculations.
Processed by a forming machine into various required shapes—including circles, rectangles, squares, drilled holes, and trimmed edges—it achieves a surface power density of 1–3.5 W/cm². Its heating rate is over 40% faster than traditional methods, with a maximum operating temperature of 350°C and high-precision temperature control within ±1°C. It can be paired with a thermocouple and PID control system to achieve real-time temperature feedback and closed-loop regulation. It is suitable for preheating metal drawing dies, maintaining constant temperatures in injection molding dies, and heating or drying samples in biological and environmental laboratories.
Used for cylindrical surfaces such as molds, nozzles, and barrels. Please provide inner/outer diameter, hole position, and electrical specifications for customization.

With superior manufacturing capabilities and flexible production processes, JIEO designs and manufactures mica strip heaters tailored to your equipment’s operating conditions. By prioritising rapid response and technical support as our service standards, JIEO ensures consistent quality and on-time delivery for both standard and custom orders.
You can provide drawings or specifications, including product dimensions, wattage, voltage, and wiring configuration, for our engineers to confirm and design a mica strip heater that meets your equipment’s operational requirements. This ensures maximum efficiency, extends service life, and supports stable equipment operation. Mica strip heaters are available with various electrical connection options.
Within certain design parameters, mounting holes or pressure plates can be incorporated into the mica strip heater to ensure uniform surface heating and efficient heat transfer, and to prevent detachment from the mounting surface due to thermal expansion. Through custom manufacturing, we can extend the service life of the mica strip heater, reduce maintenance costs, and ensure consistent equipment quality.

Still have questions?
Should thermal compound be used with mica strip heating elements?
In most cases, a thermal compound is not strictly required if the heater is mounted on a well-machined, smooth surface and properly clamped. However, in practical applications where surface flatness is less than ideal or where higher heat-transfer efficiency is needed, applying a thin layer of thermal paste can be beneficial.
It helps fill microscopic air gaps between the heater and the mounting surface, improving thermal contact and reducing the risk of localised hot spots—especially in high-performance or high-watt-density applications.
What are the limitations of mica strip heating elements?
Mica strip heaters are generally suitable for continuous operation at temperatures up to 250°C (482°F). They can tolerate temperatures above 300°C (572°F) for short periods, but prolonged exposure at this level may affect insulation performance and overall service life.
For applications that consistently require higher temperatures or more demanding thermal conditions, ceramic heaters or other high-temperature alternatives are typically a more suitable choice.
How to choose the right mica strip heater design?
The design of a mica strip heater depends on installation shape, mounting space, and heating surface requirements. Options include flat, ring, square, or custom shapes with different terminations.
What installation issues can affect the performance of a mica strip heater
Poor contact fit, uneven mounting surfaces, or loose clamping can significantly reduce heating efficiency. These issues can cause slow heat transfer, temperature instability, or localized overheating, even when the heater itself is functioning properly.
The Nano Infrared Heater consumes 30–55% less energy than other band heaters and heats up to 650°C in just 75 seconds.
