What Does JIEO Make In The Ceramic Band Heater

 

JIEO’s Ceramic Band Heater is designed and engineered to meet the growing demand for energy efficiency and improve operational performance.

Our ceramic band heaters’ resistance wire is nickel-chromium (Cr20Ni80), machined into a helically wound resistance coil. And then stretched and precisely strung through specially ceramic knuckles. These specially ceramic knuckles are available in steatite (95% Al₂O₃/99% Al₂O₃) with low dielectric loss factor, in white, yellow, and pink. Forming a flexible heating mat.

Our insulation includes ceramic fiber and natural mica. They have excellent insulation performance, high-temperature resistance, and low thermal conductivity. These factors contribute to the ceramic band heater elements’ excellent thermal efficiency and significant energy-saving benefits. These advantages further help high-precision machinery operate effectively during plastic melting and injection molding, ensuring consistent product quality and reducing energy consumption.

Differences Between JIEO’s Ceramic Band Heater Insulations

Type 1: JIEO’s Standard Ceramic Band Heater

 

The standard JIEO ceramic band heater is constructed using a helically wound resistance coil
made from nickel-chrome (Cr20Ni80) wire. The coil is stretched and precisely threaded through
ceramic knuckles (steatite: 95% Al₂O₃ / 99% Al₂O₃), forming the core heating element.

The assembly is then insulated with ceramic fiber and mica, and enclosed within a durable
stainless steel sheath with serrated edges. This design reduces heat loss, improves energy efficiency,
and ensures reliable performance while allowing for easier installation.

Type 2: JIEO’s Heat Saver Ceramic band heater(Double Insulated)

 

The JIEO’s heat-saver ceramic band heater is based on the standard ceramic band heater’s construction, with two pieces of ceramic fiber insulation on top of a solid stainless steel sheet with serrated edges. This change reduces the energy consumption of heat-saver ceramic band heaters by up to 35% compared to uninsulated band heaters.

Type 3: JIEO’s Vented ceramic band heater

 

The JIEO’s Vented Ceramic Band Heaters are designed without ceramic fiber insulation and with a stainless steel sheet on the outside. This ceramic band heater is formed by securing ceramic knuckles into a ring with steel wire. This retains its structural rigidity while allowing airflow to reach the ceramic knuckles and the resistance wire, cooling them. The application requires a band heater that can also be air-cooled with a fan; this is a good option for you.

Plus Shroud with Vented Ceramic Band Heater

 

These shroud designs are made with stainless steel sheet metal construction. The shroud effectively increases airflow over the heating coil, thereby rapidly dissipating heat. This ensures that the heating coil does not overheat during operation, thereby extending its service life. Effective heat dissipation allows for more precise control of the heating coil’s temperature, thereby meeting the strict temperature requirements of production processes. It is suitable for environments with high heat dissipation requirements or good ventilation.

  • If a ceramic band heater develops a charred appearance after use, this indicates an imbalance between heat generation and heat dissipation. It should be adjusted or cleaned of oil or plastic (in liquid form) immediately to prevent burn-through.
